INTRODUCTION
DBKU City Library was established in 1970 under the name "Kuching Municipal Council Library" and acquired by the Kuching North City Hall in 1989. In 1990, the City Library DBKU was governed entirely by the Kuching North City Hall. The opening ceremony on 21 May 1995 the City Library DBKU with a new look in terms of facilities and services. On July 8, 2013, the City Library DBKU has moved to a new location at Level 4 & 5, Majma' Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah (Kompleks Islam Sarawak) . Now DBKU City Library is the first library in Sarawak located in shopping complex. The total collections amounted to 161, 217 copies covering collection Bahasa Malaysia, English and Chinese. These libraries provide a reading space for teens, adults and space for children's. In addition, the collection of examination papers for UPSR, PMR and SPM are available for students' reference. The entire library is also equipped with WiFi . |
