24 numbers of high definition CCTV has been installed in DBKU areas and among the areas are at Jalan Satok and Jalan Kulas, at commercial centres like India Street and Satok, at public places like Kuching Waterfront and Padang Merdeka and housing areas like Bandar Baru Semariang. CCTV monitoring  focuses on issues such as crime, maintenance, emergency, obstruction and others.  The CCTV control centre operation is 24 hours.  In emergencies like flood coordination via CCTV seems to be effective.
