Greetings of Prosperity and Unity……

Alhamdulillah, with His blessings and by His grace, we are able to continue to fulfil our duties and take responsibility on steering DBKU into the right direction of progress and development while providing the best service to our citizens.

The creation of  this website is one of the initiatives taken by DBKU in order to provide current information in a simple, quick, accurate and effective manner which correlates with our vision, “Kuching… a vibrant liveable city of choice” which prioritizes sustainable development and intuitiveness ahead of the year 2020.

As a government agency that is close to its’ citizens and we always prepared to provide comfort and concern for the well-being of the public, DBKU strives to deliver accurate information as well as providing the best services in every action taken along the way.  The use of DBKU Whatsapp Hotline application at 0168864466 is an example for user-friendly and an effective communication whereby the public is able to file in complaints or give feedback to DBKU for instant response and action.  Besides that, DBKU is the first local authority in Sarawak to have its own online radio station known as radioKU which was launched on 27 March 2019.  RadioKU can be broadcast online by visiting DBKU’s official website at http.://dbku.sarawak.gov.my., every Monday to Friday at 9.00 a.m. until 10.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. until 4.00 p.m.   Among the interesting segments covered by the station are “Hello Kuching” and “Info BandarayaKU” with the tagline “Kusss…Semengat!”.

Apart from that, community proactiveness and commitment involved in DBKU Kejiranan Mesra had proved their positive involvement in various activities and programmes held by DBKU throughout 2019.  I hope this kind of success will continue to redevelop in 2020 in order to upgrade the socioeconomic status and addressing social problems among communities.

I wish the synergy between DBKU and Kuchingites especially the community under DBKU jurisdiction will continue to make Kuching City a harmony, clean, beautiful and safe city.
