Sarawak Building Ordinance 1994 was approved by the Sarawak State Legislative Council on  20 May 1994  to control development so that buildings for dwelling purposes and its surrounding are well planned. Approval of Building Plan can be used to support Loans from Financial Institutions. Submission of Building Plans for approval must be done by Qualified Architect/Engineer/Registered Draughtsman.

No commencement of works on site shall be done before getting the approval of the Building Plan or written permission from Kuching North City Hall.  A Minimum multiple of 5 x the Building plan enhancement fee will be imposed on the owners.
