KUCHING: Sarawak Media Group (SMG) has partnered with Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) to manage digital electronic billboard systems.

According to DBKU, the partnership covers the installation, managing, and maintaining of all the digital billboards within the City of Kuching North.

The partnership was materialised in a modest signing ceremony held at DBKU office on Thursday. 

SMG chief executive officer Suhaimi Sulaiman said it was a privilege for SMG to be the exclusive partner to manage the digital and electronic LED billboard systems within the Kuching North area.

“This aligns with our new direction in venturing the digital out of home advertising besides operating our television channel TVS,’’ he said.

Suhaimi represented SMG during the signing ceremony while DBKU was represented by its director Mohamed Khaidir Abang. The event was witnessed by DBKU Mayor Datuk Junaidi Reduan and SMG deputy chief executive officer Rizal Zulkapli.

For the record, SMG currently operates the existing double-side digital billboard located at Petra Jaya in Kuching.
